Spiritual Growth Resources

We Shall Be Like Him

This week we continue exploring the Church’s liturgical cycle with another resource from the Archdiocese.  The following video explores the themes of the cycle of fasts and feasts and the way they relate to the stages of our spiritual growth over the long-term experience of the life of the Church. With the tools that the Church offers us, we can move from purification, to illumination, and finally to Theosis, union with God in love.

Children of God

From Be the Bee, the eighth video in a series of eight which discuss Orthodoxy and answers some of the basic questions people have about the faith.  This week, Steve discusses how Christ took on all that is ours so that we can have all that is His. One of those blessings is the ability to call God the Father our Father. That doesn’t just affect the way we relate to God; it affects how we relate to all people, our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Fr. Athanasios on the Children of God

Finally, the following video from Trisagion Films in which Met. Athanasios of Limassol speaks about becoming children of God.
