Faith Forums at Archangel Michael Weekend

If you have not already planned on coming to attend one of our Faith Forums during the day on Saturday, November 11, you will not want to miss out! The Faith Forums are where the 28 specific new programs and ministries developed to aid you and your parish community come to life with guided workshops to teach the content and answer your questions.

As a Metropolis family, together we are stronger and more capable. It is in this spirit that your Metropolis invites ALL laity and clergy from EVERY parish (regardless if you are a delegate or not) to join with us to explore exciting and positive best practices to help us on our journey as Christians and to make disciples of ourselves, our families, and our communities.

    Parish Strategic Planning

    The 28 specific new programs and ministries developed to aid you in your parish leadership can seem daunting. The best place to start is with your own unique Parish Strategic Plan. Come to learn from the experts about how to create your own with the needs of your parish specifically in mind.

  • Education

    Orthodox Leadership Training

    Strong leaders breed strong disciples of Christ. Available for the first time are now several programs designed to develop stronger leaders in your parishes. Whether you are a seasoned parish leader looking for a new way to impact your parish, or a new leader looking to positively contribute to parish life, this workshop is for you.

    During these Forums two topics will be addressed:

    • Understanding Parish Finances: An introduction to the basics of parish finances such as annual budgets, income statements, and balance sheets, and overview of parish financial regulations, policies, and procedures, and of the common accounting systems used by parishes throughout the Archdiocese.
    • Managing Difficult Conversations: The opportunity to join others in exploring how we can strengthen our abilities to deal with difficult situations and conversations with four key strategies and eight tools for success. We will practice what we learn so come ready to participate in active learning.

    Programs for Our Seniors

    Our seniors are a valuable and often forgotten part of the parish community when it comes to specific programs. Learn how to implement senior specific ministry or to build on your existing programs to further engage this essential group in the life of our church.
